Sally P. Beagle
of Endwell
Sally P. Beagle, of Endwell, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2008, at the James G. Johnston Memorial Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her husband, Prof. Axford Beagle; and her daughter, Karyl Beagle Basmajian. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Betsy and Paul Scudder, Endwell; her son and daughter-in-law, John and Gwyn Beagle, Whitefish Bay, Wis.; son-in-law, Fred Basmajian, Binghamton; her grandchildren, Brian and Michelle Basmajian, Kristin and Rich Gilooly, Sarah Scudder, Matthew Scudder and Grace Beagle; great-grandchildren, Brandon Basmajian, Emma Gilooly and Kathryn Gilooly. She was a member of Church of the Holy Family, Endwell. Sally graduated from the Adirondack School of Business and worked for the Army Corps of Engineers in New York City during World War II. She enjoyed her many years working at the Bon Ton (formerly Fowler, Dick & Walker) with her "girls." The family thanks the staff at Hilltop Retirement Campus for their caring support during Sally's stay. "May God hold you in the palm of His hand."
A Funeral Mass will be offered at Church of the Holy Family, Endwell, Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Sally may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 401 Hayes Ave., Endicott, N.Y. 13760; or Foundation for Cancer Survivors, Suite 100, 30 Harrison St., Johnson City, N.Y. 13790.
