Funeral Services for William Balzhiser, with full Military Honors, will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2008, at noon at Conklin Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Stephen Starzer and Rev. Peggy Roundsville officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to benefit the Balzhiser grandchildren, c/o M & T Bank, 1170 Vestal Ave., Bing, N.Y. 13903; or Conklin Presbyterian Church, 1175 Conklin Ave, Conklin, N.Y. 13748 or the charity of your choice. Our deepest sympathies to the Balzhiser family. They don't make men like Bill anymore, easy to laugh, quick with a joke, and always there to lend a hand. Deer Season will not be the same. We are thankful we knew Bill and will not forget him.

Michael,
You know your friends ARE your friends forever. Your loss is felt by us all. Remember your Dad as I do, a great man - someone we are all better for having had the pleasure of knowing. He was the example that we, as young men, needed to help shape the men we hopefully are today. I am so very sad to hear of Bill's passing. I have always admired him as such a loving, kind man, although I haven't seen him a great deal since I left Binghamton I remember his warm hug on my last visit.
Of course my mom, Betty is devastated... Sandy, you and Bill are such devoted close friends, I know that she is going to miss him.
