Minnie Olsa

Minnie Olsa, 90, formerly of Woodburn Court Apartments, passed away peacefully at Susquehanna Nursing Home on September 6, 2008. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael Olsa, who predeceased her on March 19, 1990; and her beloved daughter, Michelle McDevitte, who predeceased her on January 1, 1995. She is survived by her grandson, Edmund (Eddie) Goulet; and his son, Tristan, Oxford, North Carolina, and great-granddaughter, Brittany Goulet; her granddaughter, Danielle and Michael Stein and great-grandson, Dylan Lavecchia, Lehighton, Pennsylvania; her brother, Sylvester Totten, Binghamton, survives; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her other siblings. She also leaves behind her friend, Janice Shear, Apalachin; along with her extended adopted great-grandchildren, Shaun and Dylan Holyfield, Mentor, Ohio, Camryn and Dominic Hills, Lake City, Pennsylvania, and Alexis (Lexi) Herceg, Apalachin. There are not words adequate enough to thank the nurses and aides at Susquehanna Nursing Home for their loving care of Minnie for the past eleven months. My heart will ever be grateful for your kindness to Minnie as well as me. I thank God for each of you. - Jan Shear
Graveside committal services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, at Calvary Cemetery, Harry L. Drive, Johnson City, New York. Memorial contributions should be made to the American Red Cross, 620 E. Main Street, Endicott, N.Y. Arrangements are under the direction of Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 44 Exchange St., Binghamton.
