Robert Leonard Henkiel
of Boynton Beach, Fla.
Robert Leonard Henkiel, 84, of Boynton Beach, Fla., passed away on September 6, 2008 after a short illness. He was born on October 16, 1923 in Girard, Pa., the son of Anthony and Stella Henkiel, Binghamton, N.Y. He was a veteran of World War II and a retiree from IBM. He is survived by his brother, Donald Henkiel, Cottonwood, Ariz.; children, Robert Henkiel, Douglasville, Ga., Cheryl Escott, Johnson City, N.Y., and David Henkiel, Vestal, N.Y.; stepchildren, Michael Kratky, Endicott, N.Y. and Ronald Kratky, Binghamton, N.Y.; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There will be a private Memorial Service for him at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, 5601 Greenwood Ave., West Palm Beach, Fla. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made in his name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
