Ronald Winters Obituary

Ronald E. Winters, Sr.
of Binghamton
Ronald E. Winters, Sr., 66, of Binghamton, N.Y., formerly of Lambertville, Mich., passed away September 5, 2008. Born March 13, 1942 in Monroe, Mich. to William and E. LeVaughn (Forrester) Winters, he graduated from Monroe Central High School in 1959. Ron joined the US Navy immediately following graduation and served aboard the USS Kitty Hawk as an Electronic Technician and then a reservist until 1965. He worked for IBM in Toledo, Ohio, Dallas, Tex. and Endicott, N.Y. until his retirement in 1993. Surviving Ron is his brother, William (Mary), Palm Desert, Calif.; his children, Lori (Chris) Ortman, Sr., Ron (Wendy) Jr., Lynn Zickefoose and Paul (Denise) Winters; 10 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Shirley LeBeau.
Private services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle, Mich. where he will be laid to rest with his parents.

My condolences to Ron's family. You kids were always the pride of your father. I have many fond memories of our visits with you all. I am thankful your father is not suffering any more. Will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm sure you know how much I will miss your dad. He's been an important part of my life for the last 12 yrs. and I'm very glad to have been able to meet all of you. He was very proud of all of you and your accomplishments in life. All my love and prayers to the whole family.
