Carol Ann Elliott
of Brackney, Pa.
Carol Ann Elliott, 70, of Brackney, Pa., passed away on Monday, September 22, 2008, at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton, Pa., after an extended illness. She was born in Johnson City, N.Y., to the late Ellsworth and Bernita (Pollard) Greenough. Her husband of 50 years, Robert Elliott, survives. Also surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Ray Shultz, Brackney, Pa.; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Betty Elliott, Madisonville, Pa.; grandchildren, Alicia Fraser-Natzle, Mark Fraser, Kaitlynn, Bryan and Brandon Shultz, Jerry Jr., Jeff and Paul Elliott; great-grandson, Hunter Elliott; two sisters and brother-in-law, Donna Foster, Brackney, Sharon and Bob Foster, Syracuse, N.Y.; brother and sister-in-law, Dave and Sandy Greenough, Brackney, Pa.; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her infant daughter; brothers, Dennis, Roger, and Robert; and sister, Linda. Carol was an active lifetime member in the Silver Lake Presbyterian Church, former member of the Silver Lake Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, and Activities Director for the Vestal Nursing Center for many years. She enjoyed teaching ceramics out of her home for many years, going to craft shows, camping out at the Harford Fair, and helping others. Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, September 25, 2008, at the Silver Lake Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Kenneth Garnsey and Pastor Rick Rosenkrans officiating. Interment will be in the Quaker Lake Cemetery, Silver Lake Twp., Pa. Visitations will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to the Silver Lake Presbyterian Church for the Bell Tower Chimes.
