Diane M. Fogle Burke
formerly of Newark Valley
Diane Burke, 44, a resident of Florida for the past 17 years, died suddenly on September 17, 2008 as a result of injuries sustained in an accident in Florida. Diane was born on November 27, 1964 in Endicott, a daughter of Maxine L. (Pickett) Fogle and the late Donald Fogle. Diane is survived by her daughter, Chelsey Burke; her former husband, Tim Burke; her mother, Maxine Fogle; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin (Bud) and Edie Fogle, Ronald and Jean Fogle and Ellen Fogle. Also surviving are an aunt, two uncles; eight nieces, Debbie (Pat), Tammy (John), Pam, Penny (Bill), Peggy, Michelle, Monica (Andy), Melissa (Larry); one nephew, Andy; and great-nieces and nephews, Sarah, Wayne, Christina, Ronnie, Randy, Courtney, Ryan, Carley, Dylan, Olivia and Kaitlyn. In addition to her father, Donald; Diane was also predeceased by her brother, Raymond; and her grandparents, Iva and Francis Pickett and Mildred and Lee Fogle. Diane graduated from Newark Valley High School in 1983. She was a licensed beautician and enjoyed crafts and handiwork. Most of all, Diane was a wonderful daughter and a loving mother.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 4, 2008, at Hope Cemetery, Newark Valley. Rev. James Valentine will officiate. The Cooley Family of MacPherson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
