I want to express my sympathy to the family. Uncle Earl was my great uncle on my Mom's side. My Mom was Mildred Thomas Van Gorder, she passed away 2 years age in July. I remember always being in Newark Valley at his home playing as a child, and he was always their enjoying us kids. It has been many years since I have seen any extended family.
I sure he is at peace now.

LORD I'M COMING HOME
Dedicated to Earl Pierce
At the end of my bed I began to see
Beautiful Angels and my sweet love Ella looking back at me
Was I dreamng a foolish dream
If I was truly awake what did all this mean
Then she reached her hand out to me with a happy smile
Come my sweet man as I help you travel your heavenly mile
There you will live in our Lord's presence and love
You will soon enter his kingdom above
All who have gone before you will soon be with
This is one of our Lord's wondrous gifts
As our fingers touched my eyes began to close
With my sweet Ella and the Angels my spirit rose
Onward to Heaven to join all I know
To rejoice and let all the happiness flow
Lord my journey on earth is now done
With you peace and happiness I have won
I sing Lord I'm coming home as I near the pearly gates
Lord being with you I can barely wait

Dear Folks: My condolences are with each of you at this sorrowful time.
Uncle Earl will be missed and I will treasure the times I had spend with him when my parents lived next door to him and Aunt Ella in Spencer.
May you feel God's comforting arms about you as you walk this journey of grief.
