Walter Avery Obituary
of Binghamton, N.Y.
Walter L. Avery, of Binghamton, N.Y., passed away on October 4, 2008 at Binghamton General Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Vell and Gertrude Avery Sr.; his brothers, William, Vell Jr. and Ross; sisters, Ella Beam and Gertrude Baker. He was a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force for twenty years serving in World War II and overseas tours. Upon his retirement from the service he was a Mail Carrier in Glendale, California for ten years. He is survived by a niece, Shirley DeMartino; and a nephew, Vell Avery III, Saratoga Springs.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at Glenwood Cemetery with Military Honors.
