Goodby old friend, Nicole and I will soon be joining you as I am 79 and Nicole is 82.
The notice of your death was sent to our three sons. You used to play with our oldest son Patrick when we lived in Government quarters at Maintz Kastel just outside of Wiesbaden, Germany.
You and Pat used to play in the large living room (the living room was as large as a lot of houses) with Pat riding his tricycle and you would chase him.
You, Nicole and I had weekly games of canasta at our quarters and Nicole was always one to cook us a nice Saturday night dinner.
We have lost track of each other through the years, but you were never one to give up and finally you caught up with us here in Wisconsin. I remember that you called me a number of times during the past years. You were a wonderful friend and we will miss your calls and emails.
God bless Dolores and your family. Our prayers are with you all.

Dad,

The house is quiet this morning. I thought I would sit down and send you a message...It is kind of like praying, I hope you can hear my thoughts as I share them with the others who will take the time to read this. Fathers like you are few and far between. Growing up was tough, but you saw us through...you never quit on us, even though we would have liked to quit on ourselves. You worked so hard to give us the things that we wanted and by doing that, you taught us through example that hard work never hurt anyone and dirty hands meant a clean living. You never failed us...although we failed you a time or two...you still believed in us. And by and by we began to believe in ourselves. You did the "right thing" no matter how hard it was, and taught us that the right thing is always the hardest thing to do, but it is still the right thing. You taught us that you never have to regret doing the right thing. You held on to us when our knees were bruised, and held on tighter when our hearts were bruised. You gave us the strength to get through the toughest times. You taught us that family is always your ace in the hole. We knew that we could always come home to you and Mom, no matter what we had done. You taught us the importance of being self-sufficient and gave us a thirst for knowledge, thereby giving us the ability to work through anything that needs doing. You taught us respect for every living thing and how to find self-respect. You gave us courage and hope. I could only pray that I will pass these things on to my girls. So, in the quiet of the morning, I look around me and the material things that you touched and built are but a drop in the bucket. It is the time you spent, the joy you brought, the comfort you gave, and the lives you touched that are my legacy. Thank you, Dad. I love you.

Delores,Charla,Lyn,
Your Family has always had a special place in our hearts. We can never forge all the hard work and good times Carol & I have always had with you folks. All the laughs as well as the tears that we have shared over many years. We are so very grateful that his suffering has ended & he can now enjoy the rewards of eternal rest that we the faithful are promised. Bud gave Special meaning to the word Family. His girls in his life were his life, and may that give you strenth and comfort as you pass through this difficult time. You are all in our Peayers in a special way today.

Bud will be surely missed. He was a treasured friend for over 40 years. We traveled, laughed, cried and ate lobster together. A friend who could be called upon day or night to be there. As life goes on only a few friendships can endure as our friendship and love for Bud and his beloved wife, our friend Delores has. We shed tears but have treasured memories that surround our thoughts of Bud. Love Pat and George
