Doris (Betikofer) Swartz
formerly of Endicott, N.Y.
Doris (Betikofer) Swartz, formerly of Endicott, N.Y., passed away peacefully at home in New Hartford, N.Y., from complications of leukemia. She was born in Binghamton, N.Y. on May 14, 1921, the daughter of Glenn and Luella Betikofer, and was a graduate of Union-Endicott High School. Doris was an Army veteran of WWII, serving in both Africa and Italy. After her discharge, she returned to Endicott in 1945. In 1947, she and James Swartz, also of Endicott, married. They resided in Endicott until 1986 when they moved to New Hartford, N.Y. She is survived by her loving husband, Jim, of 61 years; daughter, Judy, and son-in-law, Andrew Kinney; her sister, Erma Porter, and husband, Larry, both of Leesburg, Fla.; and her two grandchildren, Amy Kinney, Chicago, Ill. and Ryan Kinney, Canandaigua, N.Y. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Robert Betikofer, Campville, N.Y.
There will be no calling hours. Donations may be made to Hospice, 4277 Middle Settlement Rd., New Hartford, N.Y. 13413, if so desired.

We are so sorry for your loss. Our hearts go out to you for the tough time she and you had at the end. She is now in heaven with no more suffering looking down at us probably playing the slots. Judy, Thank you for keeping in touch. I will miss your mom`s "short" notes that came so frequently. We had some good times. I enjoyed her so much and I will miss her.She was such a gracious lady....She is at peace now.

Judy, Andy and family, I was so sorry to hear abour your Mom's passing. I got to see her and your dad so seldom but she was a wonderful, kind, gracious lady always with a kind word and wonderful laugh and/or smile for all.
