June Y. Niles, age 76, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2008, at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul in 2006; three daughters, Gracia, Patricia, and Sybil in 1964; brother, Carl Beadle. June is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Judith and David Bennett, Pelion, S.C., Karen and Steve McCoon, Irmo, S.C., Amy and David Molina, Webster, N.Y.; six grandchildren, Ivan Niles, Ross, Andrew and Sabrina McCoon, Elliott Bennett, Matthew Molina; two brothers and sister-in-law, Frank Beadle, Thomas and Audrey Beadle; two sisters and brother-in-law, Janice and Alan Burgess, Sylvia VanAkin; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Leslie and Claudia Niles, Robert Niles and Jennifer Craft; many nieces and nephews; two special friends, Barbara Reagan and Lillie Colvin. After graduating with a Nurse's degree from Harpur College in 1954, she worked as a Registered Nurse until her retirement in 2004. June was an avid bowler and enjoyed crafts. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Central Baptist Church, Greene. Burial will be in Sylvan Lawn Cemetery, Greene. Friends of the family may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Root Funeral Home, 23 N. Chenango St., Greene, N.Y. 13778. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Greater Greene Chamber of Commerce, PO Box 441, Greene, N.Y. 13778, or to Greene Emergency Squad, 6 N.
