To Ricky, Helena, and Family-- I am so sorry to hear about your loss. My heart breaks for all of you. I was shocked when I heard about Kim. I know I have not seen you all in such a long time, since I live down south, but that does not mean I still don't think about all my family up north, but know that I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time.

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN - DEDICATED TO KIM HATCH - (FROM HER MOM)

You were so full of life,
Always smiling and carefree,
Life loved you being a part of it,
And I loved you being a part of me.
You could make anyone laugh,
If they were having a bad day,
No matter how sad I was,
You could take the hurt away.
Nothing could ever stop you,
Or even make you fall,
You were ready to take on the world,
Ready to do it all.
But God decided he needed you,
So from this world you left,
But you took a piece of all of us,
Our hearts are what you kept.
Your seat is now empty,
And it's hard not to see your face,
But please always know this,
No one will ever take your place.
You left without a warning,
Not even saying good-bye,
And I can't seem to stop
Asking the question why?
Nothing will ever be the same,
The halls are empty without your laughter,
But I know you're in Heaven,
Watching over us and looking after.
I didn't see this coming,
It hit me by surprise,
And when you left this world,
A small part of me died.
Your smile could brighten anyone's day
No matter what they were going through,
And I know everyday for the rest of my life,
I'll be missing you.

One of my many memories of Kim is when I was about 10 yrs old. Kim used to think of herself as somewhat of a poet. Which was fascinating to me, as I never knew anyone that was interested in writing or even reading poetry. Here is something that she wrote as a high school student.

"I look across the water
I look across the sea
And what do I find waiting there for me?
I can see you
You can see me
Together well find eternity"

I memorized that 25 years ago and I am proud to share it on Kim's behalf. Even as a 16yr old, she was always a beautiful and artistic woman. I am thankful for the softer side that Kim opened me up to. As a 10 yr old sort of tomboy, being introduced to the sister that I always wanted and never knew that I had- changed my life forever. Thank you Kim.

You are sadly missed on this Earth, now. But Heavenly Father has a divine plan and we will all meet again in Heaven and our family will then be truly united.

Love always, Sis. xoxoxo

Little did we know that morning
what sorrow the day would bring.
Our loss was great, the shock severe to part with one we loved so dear. We could not say our last farewell or even say good-bye.
For you were gone before we knew
and only God knows why. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I would walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again.
Your loving cousin Deb

"I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom. 8:38-39... we may say today " I can't go on", but God says, "My grace is sufficient." He will direct your steps, for He is able. Kim was a warm, loving, and generous co-worker. I will always remember her. Our prayers are with you all. Love Rev. Dann & Bonnie Travis

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
