Mildred E. "Millie" Boigeol, 94, of Binghamton, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at Good Shepherd-Fairview Home, where she had been a resident for the past seven years. Millie was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Arlington (Art) Boigeol, Sr. in 1998. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharla and Al Bergman; and her son and daughter-in-law, Pete and Karen Boigeol, all of Binghamton; her grandchildren, Ben and Monique Bergman, Kari and Jack Keenan, Stachia and Tim Finch, Jessica and Dan Adamski, Sharla Ann and Ken Johnson, Christa Bergman; 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Millie was a lifetime member of the Women of the Moose, Binghamton Chapter 411 for over 50 years. She was an avid Bingo player, with a love of gardening, cooking and animals. A special Thank You to the staff of Level B at Good Shepherd-Fairview Home for all their time and care given to Millie.
Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Saturday at 10 a.m. Rev. Ernest A. Steffensen will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Friday from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may consider a memorial donation to the Good Shepherd-Fairview Home Living Care Fund, 80 Fairview Avenue, Binghamton, N.Y. 13904.
