Donald Brooks Obituary
of Binghamton
Donald Dodge Brooks, 89, passed away 14, October 2008, unexpectedly at Willow Point Nursing Home. He was predeceased by his parents, Fredrick and Nellie Brooks; his wife of 59 years, Ethel Mae Brooks; his brother, Ben Brooks (Grace); and his sons, Ronald Green (Fran), and Donald. Brooks (Patricia). He is survived by his sons, Richard, Charles (Thelma), Kenneth (Teri), David, his daughters; Barbara Hayes (Ralph), Mary K. Arnold (Edward); sisters-in-law, Marie Wick ware (Edward) and Emma Truman; also many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was a longtime member of the Sherwood Valley Grange, West Windsor Fire Co. and Eastside Congregational Church. He was retired from GAF and also from IBM.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 17th, 2008, at The Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson Street, Binghamton, New York. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make memorial donations to the West Windsor Fire Co., Karla Ave., West Windsor, N.Y. 13865, in memory of Donald D. Brooks.
