Howard Hitt Obituary
formerly of Binghamton
Howard J. Hitt, 87, of Boynton Beach, Fla., formerly of Binghamton, N.Y., passed away on Monday, October 13, 2008. He was the father of James Hitt (Tammy) and the late Bonnie Balog (Jeffrey); cherished grandfather of Tammy Hahn (Richard), Michael Hitt, Jonathan Balog, Matthew Balog, and Michael Balog; adored great-grandfather of David Hahn. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Harriette Hitt, and sister Jeannette Poulson.
Services will be held privately. Memorial donations may be made to Treasure Coast Hospcie, 1201 SE Indian St., Stuart, Fla. 34994. All County Funeral Home and Crematory, Treasure Coast Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.

Jim and Tammy, and family:
We were saddened to read about your father's passing. Bob has always respected Howard for both his business savy and personal character. We both take pride in Bob's association with the Vestal Steak House, and we have many special memories of Howard, the restaurant, and its staff. Our sincerest condolences on your loss.

I have so many memories of your father and grandfather, Of many times spent at his restaurant in Vestal, the fun we had with him and Harriet and of times, long ago spent on the "boa.t" Our paths have not crossed in many years, but the memories linger on. He and Harriet are having a wonderful time together so you know he is resting in peace.
