Curt and I send sympathy and love to all of you family members whom Phyllis loved so much. What wonderful memories we have of her; always willing to go the extra mile whenever she was asked to do anything. She and I had frequent contact during my many years as youth group advisor and I shall never forget how helpful she was in helping us with the Habitat for Humanity bicycle group when they stopped at the Vestal church two years during their cross-country ride. Phyllis personified goodness and love. Jane Coutts

Dear Jan, Amy and Christopher, what a wonderful and caring person Phyllis was. I remember when we joined VUMC how friendly and kind she was to us. She always had a smile and a greeting for everyone. We will miss her and will keep all of you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.

I loved it every time I heard her say "Jeekers"... I learned kindness from Phyllis... and to think twice about what I put on the lawn lest the birds become ill or lose a food source. Truly a remarkable human being.
