Robert Evans Obituary
Robert D. Evans Sr.
of Endwell
Robert D. Evans Sr., 71, of Endwell, died Saturday afternoon, October 18, 2008, at his home. He is predeceased by his mother, "Peg"; and his father, Hayden Evans; and a brother, "Red" Evans. He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 46 years, Marguerite (Marge) Evans; son and daughter-in-law, Robert D. Jr. and Tracey Evans, Endicott; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Joseph Franchini, Endicott; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Tamara Evans, Endicott; grandchildren, Bethany, Adriane Evans and Thomas Evans; sisters, Marian Boyce, Blakely, Pa., and Robert's twin sister, Roberta Buddle, Conn.; also several nieces and nephews. Robert was a retired employee of IBM and Lockheed Martin and was a veteran of service with the U.S. Navy.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The Rev. Clarence J. Cerwonka, Pastor of Holy Rosary Church, Maine, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell. The family will receive friends 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to "Yesteryears" Broome County Office for the Aging, P.O. Box 1766, Binghamton, N.Y. 13902.
