Cecile Noyes Tuttle
of Harpursville
Cecile Noyes Tuttle, 89, of Harpursville, fell asleep in the arms of her Lord and entered eternal peace on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, at her home surrounded by her loving children. She was predeceased by C. Fletcher Noyes, Sr., Chuck Noyes; sister, Beatrice Hanyon; brothers, Claude and Louie Tuttle. She is survived by her children, Betti (Donald) Niles, Nineveh, Larry (Arlene) Noyes, Harpursville, Jean (Cosmo) Maggio, Fletcher (Rosemary) Noyes, Port Crane, Ida (John) Knapp, Harpursville, Christine (Raymond) Sheridan, Doris (Charlie) Major, Milton (Virginia) Woodruff, Jr., Penna, Patricia (Harold) Holbrook, Endicott; stepchildren, Frances (Sharon) Noyes, Gail (Daniel) Northrop, Harpursville; sisters-in-law, Helen Tuttle, Beulah Noyes and Viola Morgan; 40 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a past foster grandparent for Harpursville School, a member of Maine 1390 Auxiliary, Eastern Broome Senior Citizens in Harpursville and a member of Bethel Chapel. Special thanks to hospice and Tina King, who gave so much help and support during this difficult time, and all her other special friends.
Funeral Services will be held at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home, 69-71 Maple Street, Harpursville, on Friday at 11 a.m. Pastor Sue Shields and Pastor William Fowler will co-officiate. Burial will be in Pt. Crane Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home on Thursday, from 4 - 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Harpursville United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, POB 23, Harpursville, N.Y. 13787; Bethel Chapel, 3 Cumber Rd., Harpursville, N.Y. 13787; or the Colesville Volunteer Ambulance Service (CVAS), POB 62, Harpursville, N.Y. 13787.

Ida and John,

My deepest sympathy goes out to the whole family. I have several fond memories of "Grandma Tuttle" when I was in elementary school, and was also close friends with several of her grandchildren growing up. She was a wonderful, patient woman, and I'm sure will be greatly missed.
