Lillian Marie Vigus, 82, of Carmel, N.Y., and formerly of Binghamton and Deposit, N.Y., died October 23, 2008 at Salem Hills Health Care Center in Purdys, N.Y. She was predeceased by her husband, William T. Vigus in 1983; and also by a brother, Andrew Alberti. She is survived by six children and their spouses, William E. and Cindy Vigus, Deposit, Richard A. and Ellen Vigus, Maryland, Ronald C. and Linda Vigus, Norwich, N.Y., Barbara A. and Joseph Londa, Carmel, N.Y., Carol S. and Chuck Sweet, Harpursville, N.Y., and Robert C. Vigus, Great Neck, N.Y.; three sisters, Grace McMahon, New Jersey, Marie Cimino, New York, and Jean and John Lobkovich, Maryland; 11 grandchildren, Jeremy, Alan, Lisa, Ryan, Evan, Emma, Amber, Jodie, Tiffany, Megan and Shane; three great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, October 27, 2008, at the Zacharias Funeral Home in Deposit with Rev. Kevin Bunger, of St. Joseph's Church in Deposit, officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery at Deposit. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Lewy Body Dementia Organization at PO Box 451429, Atlanta, Ga. 31145.
