William J. "Bill" DeRose
of Binghamton
William J. "Bill" DeRose, 85, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, at the Susquehanna Nursing Center. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara A. DeRose; brothers, Anthony, Albert "Duke", and Vincent "Rusty" DeRose; and sister, Marie DeRose; and grandson, John Briggs. He is survived by his children, William DeRose Jr., Binghamton, Michael and Dorothy DeRose, Windsor, Suzanne and Donald Woosley, Conklin, Linda Marks, Tennessee, Patricia Brooks, Port Crane, Lori DeRose, Town of Maine, James DeRose, Port Crane; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Donald DeRose, Binghamton, Richard and Joyce DeRose, Binghamton, Jane and Mark Clark, Florida, Loretta and Anthony Tanzini, Endwell, Rita Harrison, Binghamton; sisters-in-law, Joyce DeRose and Philomena DeRose, both of Binghamton; also many nieces and nephews. Bill was an Army veteran of WWII and a member of American Legion Post 80. Before his retirement, he owned and operated DeRose Trucking for many years.
Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, October 27, 2008, at 7 p.m. at the James V. DeMarco & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson, N.Y. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Family and friends may call at the DeMarco and Son Funeral Home on Monday from 6 - 7 p.m.
