Memorial Services for Cecile Drake will be held Monday at 6 p.m. at the Crossroads of Life Church, 20 Exchange St., with Rev. Dan E. Travis officiating. Family will receive friends at the church from 5 p.m. until time of service.

I was shocked when I read it in the paper,I guess you never expect to see someone's name after so many years. I've often thought of you and your mom. God Bless! As you know, loosing your mom is one of the hardest things to go thru,something you can never ever get over,but I know how much she loved each one of her kids. I smile everytime I think of her...she was ...one hell of a woman!!!!

I could hardly believe when I heard that "Gram" was gone. She was just one of those people that are so strong and no matter how many years pass, you just can't imagine them passing away. I, as well as my kids, and my husband have memories of hanging out with Gram on her front porch having a good time and even though she fussed at us ALL the time, I think she enjoyed all of us as well. I am thinking about all of you, Harm, Chickie, Danny Jo, Deb, Eric, Marcia, I love all of you and my hearts go out to you. I am lucky to have known Gram and will always remember her.

I am very sorry to read about Cecile. I knew her well when we were young-18,19,20. I met you Deb, when you were a baby. I met your mother when I was in the navy. I remember her as a very nice lady and I never forgot her. I know how you feel as I lost my wife this year to als.
I see that she had lots of friends and family.
When I knew her she had long blond beautiful hair. And she was very beautiful.

God may have called her home but this fantastic woman will always be with her family and the rest of us that had the pleasure of knowing her for so many years. She was a dynamo and a force to be reckoned with and I loved every minute of it, (oh the times we had back in "the days"), so rest in peace now "Jo Ma", we are sure going to miss you here.
