David Fian Obituary
David Fian
of Binghamton
David Fian, 49, passed away Monday morning, November 5, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his father, Paul Fian. He is survived by his mother, Beverly Fian, Binghamton; his children, Airman Richard Fian U.S.A.F, Idaho and Amanda Fian, Johnson City; his fiancee and love of his life, Mary Lou Litavish; two brothers, John Fian and his wife, Patricia, and Gary Fian and his wife, Linnette; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. David was very loyal to all who he loved and will be greatly missed by all.
The family will receive friends 9-11 a.m. Thursday at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect Street, Binghamton, where a Memorial Service will be offered by David's cousin, Deacon Cathy Gould at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider contributions in David's memory to a custodial account for his daughter, Amanda Fian, c/o Linda Raymond, Horizons Credit Union, 120 Main Street, Binghamton, N.Y. 13905.

Even though I became part of the family before I met him. It was not until the day I first met Dave, that I felt like it. I'll never forget the banner he made for Gary and I when we first came to visit. But as all you know, that was David, a welcoming soul. He opened his arms to everyone and always made sure to make you feel welcomed. Even if that meant making you a sandwish with fresh horseradish.(hot) I will miss him dearly and I know my next visit to Binghamton, NY will not be the same. But I take comfort in knowing that he will probably have a banner ready to welcome us when we get to heaven. To Mom and Marylou - I love you both dearly and even though I'm all the way in CA, I'll always be here for you. To Amanda and Rich - You are my favorite Niece and Nephew and you know you can always count on me and uncle Gary, I love you both so much.
