Oh daddy, how I miss you! I never signed your guest book way back then. It´s been 18 years since we bid you farewell. Much has happened since then. You would be so proud. I´m taking care of your little girl Dad. I love you!! Give mom my love. What a blessing you both were to us. What a heritage you left us!!

To the Rennies:

I looked up to Pastor Rennie as a 2nd dad (cause I was soooo young when you all left us at
Calvary Baptist in Carney's Point). He would tease me about my big brown eyes and how I loved my spaghetti (mom made it just about every Sunday).

I can remember when he baptised me and how on a Wednesday night I had to go in for pre-counseling for the baptism (prior to prayer meeting) --- he talked to me in his office (prior to prayer meeting) and said hold on (and as a kid I stayed put) --- he went out and conducted the entire prayer meeting and I didn't move out of the his office. It seemed like a long time. He probably thought I would go out to the service and then come back to the office. Anyway, this is what my mind remembers --- it's funny now --- I was sooooooo obedient then --- ha! ha!

Anyway, thanks for being wonderful friends to my family --- I really appreciate it and it was wonderful how Pastor Rennie shared his love with my mom and dad's kids as well as all of them he had at home.

It will be hard for a little while (even though you know he's in a better place --- with His Lord --- and now mom has another wonderful friend with her!!), but the grief gets better or easier to take with time but .... also with time .... you will miss him more and more ... but at least it won't hurt.

I love you all and if there is anything I can possibly do for you (this far off) please let me know!!!
