Allan Zawistowski Obituary

Allan Jason Zawistowski
of Windham, Pa.
When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure….our hearts were broken early Sunday morning, November 18, 2007, with the sudden and tragic passing of our loving son, brother and friend, Allan Jason Zawistowski of Windham, Pennsylvania. "JayZ", as he was affectionately known by his family and friends, was born on September 19, 1980 in Houston, Texas. He was a graduate of Northeast Bradford High School and was currently employed as an apprentice for Southern Tier Insulations, Inc. of Endwell, N.Y. In his spare time, Jay enjoyed playing the drums, jamming with his friends and listening to Metallica. Jay was always willing to help others, he treasured the time spent with is mom and brother and was a devoted friend to many. He always carried a smile, enjoyed making others laugh and being surrounded by his family and friends. His memory will remain within our hearts forever. Jay is survived by his mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Timothy Atchison (RR2, Box 237, Rome, Pa. 18837); his father and stepmother, Allan J. and Corliss Zawistowski, Minneapolis, Minnesota; his brother and best friend, Thomas Jon Zawistowski and Erin Morgenstern (RR 1, Box 92C, Rome, Pa. 18837); a special niece, Kaylan Riley Zawistowski; his paternal grandmother, Katherine Zawistowski, Pa.; step grandparents, Tom and Irene Atchison, Barton, N.Y.; stepsister, Sarah Atchison, Barton, N.Y.; stepbrother, Kristopher Atchison, Barton, N.Y.; Amber's son, Blaise Shores; several aunts, uncles, cousins, numerous friends; and his faithful dogs, Keisha, Grace and Bailey. Jay was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, William and Dorothy Silvani; and his special friend, Amber Miller.
A time of remembering the special gift Jay was to all of us will be held on Saturday, November 24th, at 11 a.m. at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 South Main St., Nichols, with Pastor David Pitcher of the West Warren Congregational Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Valley Home Cemetery. A period of visitation and sharing memories will be held on Friday from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel. There are no words that can decribe the way we feel today. The memories that we shared were great and will never be forgotten, such as trying to teach me how to play the drums. Jay, we love you and miss you! Your memory will remain in our hearts forever!
