John James Lazo
of Apalachin, N.Y.
John J. Lazo, 71, of Apalachin, N.Y., was called to his final resting place on Friday, November 23, 2007, at Wilson Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. John was predeceased by his parents, John and Pauline Lazo; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mildred and Robert Heath. He is survived by his wife, Roberta (Heath); and daughter, Colette; his brother, Ronald Lazo and wife, Sandra, Chenango Bridge; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law, Robert L. Heath, Fountain Hills, Ariz., and Richard L. Heath and wife, Nancy, Albuquerque, N.Mex.; three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Kathy Baker, Corning, N.Y., Martha and John Walker, Barton, N.Y., Dorothy and William Stewart, Waverly, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. John, you will live in our hearts forever. John was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Endicott, N.Y., and a member of B.P.O.E. #2508 of Vestal.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. from Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 E. Main St., Endicott, N.Y., and at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, 106 N. Rogers Ave., Endicott, N.Y., where the Rev. John Cigan will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with a (Parastas) prayer service Monday evening at 7 p.m. B.P.O.E. #2508 of Vestal will conduct a Lodge of Sorrow Service Monday evening at 8:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in John's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 59 Court St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13901, or Sts. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church.

Roberta, I am so sorry for your loss. Carol and Hoot always spoke so highly of John and had such good times with the two of you. I'm sorry I did not know him. Please call me anytime you need an ear or shoulder. It was good seeing Bob again after so many years, but I'm sorry for the circumstances. May you find comfort in your memories.

Sorry for your loss..Jack was a usher at my wedding in 1960 & nieghbor near North Street,JC. Saw him last at North Side Reunion at old Pine Inn. Earlier this year met Ron at Genny Senior outing.

John was my little buddy he helped me cook chicken wing's every monday at the elk's in Vestal. I really enjoyed working with him we had alot of laughs. I will miss him. I was saddened to hear of his passing.
