Our Mom was always someone who never even thought of giving up on anything that she cared about. Whether it was dealing with work issues, household chores, family problems, board games, or following TV Gameshows. She was especially good at making the champions on Jeopardy look like mental midgets by comparison. It wasn't that she was arrogant about it at all, she was just GOOD at it! That is one of the things I personally will miss the most; watching her answer(question) the questions(answers) faster than anyone else possibly could.

I met Frieda in the lunch room at BCC 3 years ago. My 1st impression was that she handled her physical challenges in an amazing way. As we got to know each other better, I found that her inner strength came from a solid, unmoving trust in her God and His plan for her life. She had no anxiety even through severe testing, placing her care in God's hands. She didn't talk much about herself but could brag up a storm about her grandchildren. We heard about Isaac, Levi, and Grace, seeing pictures as often as she could come up with them. I have been so enriched and inspired in knowing Frieda and will miss her much. My sincere sympathy and prayers to her family at this time.

To Frieda's family-
I first met Frieda in 1997 when I began working at the BCC Library. She was my mentor, friend and kindred spirit. She loved music as do I, and we would sing little ditties every now and then. One big lesson I learned from Frieda "Don't sweat the small stuff!" I will miss all the hugs we gave each other but I know that she is much happier now and that I will see her when it is my time. I will remember her and love her forever.

Although I would only see Frieda briefly when I came to work,I remember her kindness and her wonderful smile. She was a very gentle soul with a big heart. May it be a comfort to know she is spending Christmas with her Lord. You are in my prayers.

Mom, I know that you have only left us in body, that your spirit will never leave us. You are finally Home with the Lord. So, while I am sad for myself and the things we won't get to do together, I am overjoyed for you. Pray for me, that I may love others as perfectly and unconditionally as you've loved me. I love you!
