Mary Papastrat
of Binghamton
Mary Papastrat, 100 years old, of Binghamton, died Monday evening, November 26, 2007, at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center. She was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Vasili Papastrat. She is survived by her seven children, Helen Anastos, Pat and Chris Anagnostakos, Voula and Lou Diamantakos, Jean and Dino Alikakos, Stacey and Pete Dikeakos, James and Georgia Papastrat, Chris and Crystal Papastrat, all of Binghamton; 20 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Binghamton. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, and an inspiration to all who met her.
Funeral Services will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 214 Court Street, Binghamton, Thursday at 1 p.m. Rev. Fr. George A. Prassas, her Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. Trisagion Service will be Wednesday evening at 8:30 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mary may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 214 Court St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13901.

Dear Chris & Jimmy and all The Papastrat Family,
Both Stephen and I are so very sorry we were unable to pay our last respects to your beloved Mother. We felt so bad because we could not get there due to 2 other committments. Our thoughts and prayers and love all with all of the family.May she rest in peace with your Father.

Dear Papastrat family,
I am very sorry you lost your mom. You were so blessed to have had her. I can still see her and your Dad out back putting up the tomatoes. They were always together doing things around the house. Rest assured they are together now. You are in my prayers.
