Robert H. Scheffer
of Johnson City
Robert H. Scheffer, 75, passed away on November 28, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Vivian D. (Valusek) Scheffer; his children, Sue Ann Scheffer, Robert M. Scheffer, Lynn Scheffer-Wilson, Mimi Doyle, and Thomas Scheffer; his grandchildren, Tiffany, Michael, Justin, Corey, Marion, Demetrius, Alex, Erica, Jessica, Roberta, LeeAnn, Robert Jr., and Shontel; and great-grandchildren, Michael, Nathaniel, Malana, Demetrius Jr., and Sara (on the way). Bob was a member of the Church of the Holy Trinity. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from the Army National Guard. He was a member of the Johnson City VFW Post 2332 and President of Dad's and Men's Auxiliary; Johnson City Eagles 2644; 204th Engineers Battalion of the ANG; IBEW Local 325; Boy Scout Troop #107; the Masonic Lodge and several other community services and activities.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. at Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc., 96 Glenwood Ave., Binghamton and at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 346 Prospect St., Binghamton where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Project PAW, the American Lung Association, or the American Cancer Society.

Bob was my favorite customer who would visit me everyday at the price chopper. I enjoyed his company and I will miss him dearly. I also appreciate his wife for letting me know personally that he had passed. God Bless you Bob.
