There are so many memories that I have with you Mr. Rice. You always had a kind word for me, along with your big smile. You had the utmost respect on Susquhanna St, Exchange St, Lisle St. & Carroll St. When we were out at "The Park" being kids, We knew we had to straighten up when we saw your familiar stroll!! You will be deeply missed! The Taylor and Pine families extend our deepest sympathies to your family!!
God and time heals all wounds!! God Bless You All!!

It saddens me to hear of this loss, no words can truly express my condolences. I can’t believe that Mr. Rice has left this earth. So many memories come flooding through my mind as I think about him. I will always remember him walking Ace around the neighborhood when I was a child. Our families were neighbors, friends who became very close through the years and most of all an extended family to each other. He was a good man and will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathies and prayers are with the entire family.

My heart goes out to you at this time. Rice was a good man and sports fan. Playing in the Park, Rice would often watch and give us encouragement. His company on a road trip to watch King play at UNC will always remain with me.
