Helen Kochant
of Binghamton
Helen Kochant, 88, passed away Wednesday, November 28, at Binghamton General Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Anastasia Kosutt; three sisters, infant, Susan Kosutt, Ann Kochant Turjee, Mary Kochant; a brother, William Kochant. She is survived by one brother, John Kochant; a sister, Marjorie Kochant; a niece and spouse, Constance and Henry Kozak; nephews and niece, Dr. Joseph (Michele) McCann, Dr. Julia (Hon. Richard) Miller, Michael (Susan) McCann. Helen graduated from Binghamton High School and attended Syracuse University. She worked as an x-ray tech and then worked as a librarian at IBM Owego until her retirement. She was also a member of Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the Ernest H. Parsons Funeral Home, Inc., 71 Main St., Binghamton, N.Y. Rev. John J. Cigan will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Spirit Cemetery, Kattelville, N.Y. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 4-6 p.m.; Parastas will be conducted at 5:30.
