Judy C. Gorton
of Montrose, Pa.
Judy C. Gorton, 60, of Montrose, Pa., died Thursday, November 29, 2007, at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center, Johnson City, N.Y. Born March 12, 1947 in Towanda, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Margaret (Murray) Beebe. She graduated from Elk High School in 1966 and was employed by Amatech Corp. as an Avianautics Assembler. She was a member of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, Montrose, Past Treasurer of Montrose Midget Football and served on her reunion committee for the high school graduating class. She enjoyed county music, her children and grandchildren and her three "granddogs." Survivors include her husband, Ernest M. Gorton; sons and daughters-in-law, 1st Class Petty Officer, Ernest M. Jr., and Chief Petty Officer, Penny Gorton, Jacksonville, Fla., Technical Sergeant, James T. and Rebecca Gorton, Palmyra, Pa.; grandchildren, Reagan, Shaine, Ryleigh Anne and James T. Jr.; a brother, Earl "Buck" Beebe, Lawrenceville, Ga.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen Crump, Lawrenceville, Ga., Alma "Susie" and Rodney Day, Palm Bay, Fla., Jean and Dick Herman, West Auburn, Pa.; nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, a son Robert Gorton; and a sister, Peggy Piontek, predeceased her.
Service: Begins on Wednesday, 10 a.m. at the Bartron - Myer Funeral Home, Montrose, Pa. Mass, 11:00 a.m. at Holy Name Of Mary Catholic Church, Montrose, Pa. Visitation: Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
