Donald Whitney Obituary
of Binghamton
Donald M. Whitney, 83, passed away after a long illness on Sunday, December 2, 2007. He was predeceased by his wife, Marie Whitney; and brother, Ralph Whitney. He is survived by a son, Ronald and Vicki Whitney; daughter, Donna Whitney; grandchildren, Scott Whitney and Audra Vanderbilt; four great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Gower; brothers, Dennis Whitney and Shirley Whitney. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of the VFW. He retired from the Chemical Leamon Tank Line. He enjoyed camping, fishing and playing golf.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, N.Y. 13901, with Rev. Daniel Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Chenango Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 on Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at the funeral home.
