Robert Shaheen Obituary
of Vestal
Robert C. Shaheen, 42, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 3, 2007. He is survived by his daughter, Sydney Marie Shaheen, Vestal; his mother, Odette Shaheen, Vestal; his brother and two sisters-in-law, Samuel and Maria Shaheen, Hilton Head, S.C., and Tami Shaheen, McDonough; two nephews, Thomas and Norman Shaheen; and cousins. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him. He was an employee of U.P.S. Vestal.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 9 a.m. at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect Street, Binghamton, with Pastor James Walck, of Our Saviour Lutheran Church of Endwell, officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Park Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends Friday 6-9 p.m. at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider contributions in Robert C. Shaheen's memory to a memorial fund for Sydney Shaheen's education, c/o M&T Bank, 148 Vestal Parkway East, Vestal, N.Y. 13850.

My deepest sympathies to Bobs friend's and family. My father died this year and it was so nice for me to read entries from his old friends. It warmed my heart during a very tough time.
Bob and I were friends in junior high and high school. He was a dear friend to me and so many others. I have fond memories of his dashing smile,kind heart and fun loving charm. He truly was one of the most loved kids of the Vestal class of '83. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

My deepest sympathy regarding the loss of Bob. We worked together at UPS for 9 years and shared some great times. He had a good heart and he could always make us laugh. Odette and Sam, I am so sorry for your loss. Bobby was a good kid. I remember growing up around the corner from you and coming down to the house to play. I remember him sitting on my moms couch and joking and laughing. I haven't talked to him in along time but he will still be sadly missed. Bob was our UPS man for years. I will deeply miss him. I looked forward to seeing him in that big brown UPS truck tooling through the neighborhood.
