Emily Cook Pinney Smith
formerly of Deposit, N.Y.
Emily Cook Pinney Smith, 91, a lifetime Deposit resident, died December 9, 2007 at Bridgewater Center in Binghamton where she had been residing since 1998. She is survived by three sons and their spouses, Donald and Sharon Pinney, Ft. Mill, S.C., David and Adeline Pinney, Apalachin, N.Y., and Mark and Janice Pinney, Binghamton, N.Y.; ten grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Emily worked for many years as a cook at the Deposit Diner. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at the Zacharias Funeral Home, 78 Second St., Deposit, N.Y., with Rev. Keith Albee officiating. Friends wishing may make donations to High Street United Methodist Church, 1288 Vestal Ave., Binghamton, N.Y. 13903, in memory of Emily Smith.

JoAnn and I are so very sorry of your Mom's passing. I have so many memories of her on Front Street and her homemade yellow cake and P.B.frosting just one of many.She was like a second Mom to me. Our Deepest Sympathy to You and Your Family
