Davis
of Union Center, N.Y.
Marilyn "Jo" Davis, 68, passed away on December 3, 2007 after a brief illness. Jo, as she was known to her family and friends, was predeceased by her mother, Bergie Mae Riddle, West Union, W.Va.; and two special sisters-in-law, Peggy Davis and Coralena Davis, both of Union Center, N.Y. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Jim Davis, Union Center, N.Y.; son, Daniel Davis, Union Center, N.Y.; daughter, Kristina Davis, Endwell, N.Y.; and very special grandson, Justin. She is also survived by her sisters, Barbra Loretta Irons and Mary Lee Nesler, both of West Union, W.Va.; and a brother-in-law, niece, nephews, and many cousins and friends. Jo was a devoted wife and mother who dedicated her life to her family, friends, and community. She was a longtime member and volunteer of The Spirit of '76 Fife and Drum Corps, Endicott, N.Y. and a member of the American Legion Post 1700 Woman's Auxiliary. Jo loved to laugh and was never too busy to share a funny story or word of advice with a friend. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2007, at Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, 300 East Main Street, Endicott, N.Y. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jo's name may be made to Maine Emergency Squad, P.O. Box 194 Maine, N.Y. 13802 or Union Volunteer Emergency Squad, 8 South Avenue B, Endwell, N.Y. 13760.

Dear Jim, Danny and Kris,
I was sorry to hear about Jo. I always enjoied stopping for a chat and a cup of tea when I lived in Union Center. Jo always had a story and a chuckle to share. I remember her laughter and positive
attitude. The kids always loved
coming to your house (restaurant) on Halloween. You are in our hearts and prayers.
