My sincere sympathy to the Britto Family on the death of Sylvester "Bet" Britto. I have known Bet as being one of the finest Sheriffs in the entire Sheriff's Department and have known him throughout his distinguished career. He was a great professional who carried out his varied duties with compassion, great ability and caring for all who came within his jurisdiction. He was held in high regard by all Judges, Court employees and the general public with whom he came in contact. While I have not seen Bet since his retirement, I remember him with great fondness. My sister, Kathleen joins in these sentiments as she worked as a Family Court secretary and with Bet for twenty years. May God bless Bet and his Wife and family at this very sad time.
