Maria Vendettuoli Obituary

VENDETTUOLI, MARIA (CAMBIO), 88, of North Providence, died peacefully at home Monday with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Giovanni Vendettuoli. They had been married for 54 years

Born in North Providence, she was a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Rosa (Gianfrancesco) Cambio. She moved to Ciorlano, Italy, at the age of five, returning to the US in 1953. Mrs. Vendettuoli worked at the former Providence Gas Company before retiring in 1984.

She is survived by a son, Bill Vendettuoli of West Warwick; four daughters, Connie Patterson and Rosemarie V. Owen, both of Naples, Florida, and Vickie Vendettuoli and Jill V. Reis, both of North Providence; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Mrs. Vendettuoli was the sister of the late Michele, Giovannina, Antonio, Angelo, Pietro, and Alfredo Cambio, and Domenica Delle Donne.

Her funeral will be held MONDAY at 8:45 AM from the A. TARRO & SONS Funeral Home, 425 Broadway, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Holy Ghost Church, Atwells Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting Hours SUNDAY 4-7 PM. The family respectfully requests that flowers be omitted.

This woman was amazing - she was adored by every one of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was not only our Nana, she was our friend.

Today is one month since she left us. The sense of loss and grief is still as acute as the moment she was gone.

Nana, I know I speak for the rest of the family when I say that we love you so much and we miss you terribly. Our only wish is that you hare happy where you are and that you know how much you really meant to each of us.

Stay peaceful and happy, my beloved Nana.

She was a wonderful woman, kind, loving, fabulous cook & always fun to be with.

My aunt was a Pip ! I have so many great memories of our family gatherings when I was young . My father (Pietro) were very very close, now they are together in heaven with the their whole family, she was the last of the brothers and sisters. She was a GREAT woman !!! I will miss you auntie maria . LOVE RITA
