Theodore Addison Obituary
Mr. Addison was an Inspector for the Rhode Island Racing Commission for over 30 years. A Vietnam War Veteran, he served in The United States Army. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
He was the loving father of Robert Addison and his wife Karen of Cranston, Theodore Addison, Jr. and his wife Michele of Clermont, FL, Shelley Francis of Pawtucket, and Kimberly Morgan of North Kingstown. Caring brother of Dolores E. Spratt and Anne Edmonds Clanton both of Providence and the late Diane E. Bell, Millicent Edmonds, and Thomas Edmonds Woodward. Cherished grandfather of seven and uncle of a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Service will be held Monday at 10:00 am in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Sunday 4-7 pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, a donation to your favorite charity in Ted's memory would be appreciated. www.murphyfuneralhomes.org

It has been years since I have been in Teddy's company. We were both reared on the East Side of Providence and our parents were friends...in the days ago.
Whenever I receive info of a loss of another schoolmate, friend, associate, or East Side'r...that has touched my life, it puts the reality of life in perspective. We should enjoy every moment...every moment...

I have memories in my pocket.

They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
Jon & I loved you very much and cherished every momment we had together with you. The Holiday get togethers in particular with Valerie & Kimberly and everyone who stopped in wont be the same without you, but you will be forever in our hearts and prayers always. We love you & you will be sadly missed.

Mommy and Aunt Dolores,
There are no words of comfort when you lose your Brother. The only people who see the world through your eyes are your siblings. You laugh at the same things, you like the same things, the same people--you see life the same way--because you're Brother and Sister. The loss of one of you can only hope to make the relationship between the siblings who are left behind that much stronger. I know how much you loved Uncle Teddy. He was your favorite uncle. He was also my favorite brother. Remember the the wonderful times you spent with him and loved him. Grandpa, never once have I met of your distinction and your caliber. A man so rich in joy, peace, power, honor, integrity, and most of all, love.
