To the entire Borden Family,
it is with my deepest regret that that I was told of your mother's passing. I wish I could have been there. It made me stop in my tracks to think back about all the good memories of growing up in the projects. So many good memories. And also fond memories of your late father.

In spite of all the kids, your mother always had room for the Smith kids, Barbara and me.

I recall during one summer, I don't remember the year, when your family rented a house at Point Judith and invited me and my sister Barbara along with your big family. What a ball we had.

There is so much I can remember about your mother and father and all the kids that I could write a book full of so many wonderful memories.

I mostly remember me and my sister being very close to Tyrone, Milton and Dale. But I must say, your parents did a wonderful job in bringing up such a large family. You just don't seet that anymore.

I know how you must feel, because I lost my mother sixteen years ago and it takes a long time to get over your mother's passing.

I hope you would contact me when you feel up to it. So we could talk.

With my deepest sorrow, Lenny Smith and my sister Barbara (Smith) Iacone.

More than 40 years ago, my brother, my sisters, and I, lost our beloved mother and father. It has been only 4 months since we lost our sister Rose. Now Agnes has gone to be with them and we are once again filled with sorrow.

I believe that family is our greatest gift and treasure in this life. My family has been very precious to me. I will remember always the loved ones who have passed on before me. I will miss them. May they rest in peace.

Love to all from Brother Al

Agnes was someone very special in my life. Right from the beginning, she made me feel welcome in her home. Long before Albert and I were even married, I came to love Agnes as a dear sister. When I had to say goodbye at the end of vacations, my heart was aching. Now I must say my last farewell and my heart is breaking. I will ever remember Agnes with love, because she always treated me truly lovingly, and it has meant so much to know she considered me as family.

I have fond memories of our visits at Auntie Agnes' and Uncle Norman's home. Although I grew up thousands of miles away, it was always clear that Auntie was the center of her family and know that she will always be much loved and remembered.
