To my beloved MacLeod cousins: Being a west-coaster, I did not have as many opportunities to see you and your parents (and grandparents) as sisters Deb and Jan. I do know a bit of what I missed. I remember your mother's kindness one day in the late 1970s coming off of Cuttyhunk in guiding me via public transit to the railroad station for my return to college; your father's agreeing to be interviewed about his business for a college class of mine; and overall their infectious good nature. I'm sorry to have missed your dad's service, but will raise a glass of Talisker to him on Skye in August. Love to you all.

Jeanie and Laurie:
I am so sorry for the loss of your father. I didn't meet your dad until late in his life, but I could tell that he was a force of nature and he had that twinkle in his eye. He was so very proud of you.

Dear Heather and family, In this electronic age, it is curious to use this medium to express condolences. Nonetheless it is a way to connect and express. As I recently have been doing more genealogy I have had you and family in my thoughts. I recall, with great fondness, your grandmother and our picnics on Skye during a Parliament long ago. It was always interesting to me how much alike Scott and I looked in one picture but that was not an accident! I am sorry to hear of your dad's death; it is a unique loss. Warmest regards, Barbara MacLeod

I will always remember fresh peaches from the MacLeod's orchard and how my grandmother used to go out in the snow or any weather to get their paper every morning. Mr. MacLeod was like family and I feel blessed to have known him. Our deepest sympathies.
