Katherine Foley

FOLEY, KATHERINE (HIOTELIS), 'KAY', age 84, of Fall River, passed away, July 12, 2008 in Country Gardens Skilled Nursing Rehabilitation Center in Swansea. She was the wife of the late Raymond J. Foley.

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Partelides) Hiotelis, she was a lifelong resident of Fall River having lived on Rock Street for 50 years and most recently at Milliken Towers.

Mrs. Foley attended B.M.C. Durfee High School and worked in local textile mills including the Bag Outlet for the past 12 years. She was a member and former national president of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed duck pin bowling, was ranked number one in the country in 1960, and was a member of the Woman's Duck Pin Association and the National, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island Duck Pin Hall of Fame. Mrs. Foley also enjoyed playing Bingo.

Surviving: son Stephen Foley and his wife Kathleen of Cranston, RI., brother Peter Hiotelis and his wife Helen of Somerset, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late William Hiotelis.

Her Funeral will be held Wednesday July 16, 2008 at 8:00AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE 178 Winter St. Fall River followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church 289 North Main St., Fall River. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours prior to her Mass from 8:00 to 9:30AM in the Funeral Home.
