Bernard Lynch Obituary

LYNCH, BERNARD P. JR., 74, of Bear Hill Road, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2008 at Miriam Hospital, Providence.

Born, February 10, 1934, he passed away, surrounded by loved ones, after a protracted illness. He was a man who wore many hats, ranging from real estate agent, to one of Rhode Island 's earliest recycling endeavors, as owner of Lynch Waste Paper Co., back in the 1960's. In later years he enjoyed the world of antiques and spent many happy hours trolling yard sales with his wife of 53 years, Anne-Louise (Garbo). His good natured persona was a great catalyst for easy friendships and a relaxed view of life. He was an army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a realtor for 25 years in the Blackstone Valley area, retiring in 2005.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Bernard and Blanche (Doyon) Lynch. Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by three sons, Mark, Eric, and Alex; a daughter, Leslie, a brother, Daniel three grandchildren, Victoria, Nicolas, and Matthew. He also leaves a great-granddaughter Ashlei.

A Service will be held Wednesday at 7:30pm in the O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 5-7:30pm, prior to the Service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Lung Association of RI, 260 W. Exchange Street, Suite 102B, Providence, RI, 02903, would be appreciated. www.rifuneral.com.
