Barbara Sims Obituary
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Albert and Edith L. MacFarlane, she had lived in Warwick for the past 44 years.
Miss Sims was a secretary at Harvard Business School for 20 years from 1944-64 and later was a legal secretary for Hinckley & Allen for 7 years, retiring in 1971.
Miss Sims was a 1944 graduate of Simmons College.
She was a member of Blithewold Mansion Gardens, Bristol, the Friends of oceanography, PSVP and the Narragansett Bay Wheelmen. She leaves no immediate survivors.

Knew Ms.Sims my whole life - grew up down the street - watched her take care of her mom and her home, as a child I would walk down the street and go for a visit and a snack , I will always have fond memories of Ms.Sims

Barbara was a "dear grand lady" in the truest meaning of that expression. Her enthusiasm for her work,family, and friends will long be remembered. Thank you, dear Barbara, for your years of friendship and kindness.

Barbara was a role model of the "perfect" accomplished secretary as she always conducted herself with grace, dignity and professionalism. She had a keen sense of humor that endeared her to many of her co-workers at Hinckley, Allen. She will be remembered fondly by many of her peers.
