Virginia Lavault Obituary

LAVAULT, VIRGINIA C., 89 of Bishop Ave. Rumford, died Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Norman E. Lavault.

She was born in East Providence a daughter of the late Anthony & Virginia (Sears) Costa. Mrs. Lavault was a division secretary for the United States Navy at Quonset Point for 10 years before retiring.

She leaves one daughter, Geraldine Jacobs; one son, Thomas N. Lavault; three granddaughters, Amy Simpson, Gretta Jacobs & Leah Jacobs & two great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Joseph, Thomas, Anthony, Beatrice & Manuel Costa.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 8 A.M. from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME 2555 Pawtucket Ave. with a Mass of Christian burial at 9 A.M. in St. Margaret Church Pawtucket Ave. Burial will be in Rumford Cemetery. Calling hours TODAY, THURSDAY 5-8. In lieu of flowers contributions to the United Way of R.I. 229 Waterman Ave. Providence, R.I. 02906 would be deeply appreciated.
