Bill and I spent about 7 months together at the Defense Photography School in Pensacola, FL in '95-'96. He was a good friend and great aviation photographer. Sorry to hear belatedly of his passing. Rest in Peace!

Bill was a great guy who loved his career in the RI Air National Guard and had a great fondness for airplanes, aviation photography, and historical military patches. After his retirement I ran into him on numerous occasions as he was out and about, often wearing his old military jacket or T-shirt like a cherished treasure, and he would still always talk about his unit (143rd Airlift Wing). I was very sorry to learn today of his passing.

I can still picture Bill, camera in hand, walking toward many a busy active runway, risking life, limb and scuffles with Security Forces to get a shot. "Wild Bill" - a good and gentle man.
