Michael Rosiak

ROSIAK, MICHAEL, 81, a retired Teamster, died Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at home. He was the beloved husband of the late Catherine 'Kathleen' D. (McCabe) Rosiak.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Harry J. and Elena (Zeminkova) Rosiak, he was a resident of North Providence for 54 years.

Michael was a member of Teamster's Local 251 for 32 years, and worked for Arrow Transportation for 29 1/2 years retiring in 1980. He also worked for the Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics at Quonset Point for 8 years as an insulation mechanic retiring in 1989. A Navy veteran of WWII, he served in the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters.

He leaves his loving family, two daughters Kathleen D. McBrien and her husband Liam of Norton, MA, Linda A. Cuddigan and her husband Joseph of Seekonk, MA, a son Michael G. Rosiak and his wife Jacqueline of North Providence, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and his sister Lena Gates of North Providence. He was brother of the late Nicholas, George, and Alexander Rosiak.

His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 AM from the ROBBINS FUNERAL HOME, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St. Burial with military honors will be in Highland Memorial Park. Visiting hours Monday 6-8 PM.
