David Harris Obituary

HARRIS, DAVID R., 63, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2008. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of Lucy E. (Ringland) Harris of Pawtucket and the late John L. Harris. Dave was a senior engineer at Raytheon for over 12 years until retiring. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed skiing, hiking and running. He was a member of the American Mountain Club and had been an instructor in white water rafting in New Hampshire. Besides his mother he leaves three brothers, John W. Harris of West Greenwich, Thomas R. Harris of Little Compton and Steven L. Harris of Cumberland; four nieces, four nephews, three grandnieces and two grandnephews.

Relatives and friends may call at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket on Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to the Alzheimers Association, 245 Waterman St., Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906 or Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 169 George St., Pawtucket, RI 02860 would be appreciated. www.TrippFuneralHome.com

We enjoyed our canoeing and hiking adventures with Dave and always enjoyed his stories. We liked to watch the progress of his house building.
