Vincent Tirocchi Obituary

TIROCCHI, VINCENT 'JIMMY', 93, of Almond Ave., Johnston passed away Wednesday July 30, 2008 at Hospice Care of RI, Philip Hulitar-In Patient Center, Providence. He was the husband of the late Concetta (Gabriele) Tirocchi.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Guiseppe and Assunta (Moriconi) Tirocchi. Mr. Tirocchi was the owner-operator of Johnston Building Wreckers for many years, before retiring. He was a member of Local 57 Hoisting Engineers.

He is survived by his daughter Joanne Starnino and his son Joseph P. Tirocchi both of Johnston, his grandchildren Lisa Mallinson and Jodi Gaynor, his great-grandchildren Ronnie, Michael and Rachel, and a brother Valentino Tirocchi. He was the brother of the late Carlo, Eugene, Anthony and Louis Tirocchi.

His funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Cross Church, Hartford Ave., Providence at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS SATURDAY MORNING 8AM-9AM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 169 George Street, Pawtucket, RI 02869-9924.
