Wollaston Morin Obituary

MORIN, WOLLASTON GERALD 'JERRY', age 72, of Bay Point Rd., Swansea, passed away on August 4, 2008 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was the devoted husband of Carol Connell Morin and is survived by two daughters: Lisa Wery and Elizabeth Morin, two sons: Geoffrey and Michael Morin as well as four grandchildren. Born in Swansea, MA in 1936, he was the son of the late Eva (Blais) and Arthur Morin and brother of Elaine Niesse, Winnie Banchette, Wolly Morin and Cynde Morin.

He served in the US Air Force after high school and later graduated from Boston University in 1964. After nine years with United Aircraft in East Hartford, CT he left to pursue a career in Hotel Management. Jerry worked for ITT Sheraton Hotels for 19 years, retiring as President of the International Division with hotels in Europe, Africa, Middle East and India. He and his family resided in Belgium and England before returning to Norwell, MA in 1986 and Swansea upon retiring in 1992.

During his retirement he was active in various organizations including the Swansea Land Trust, the Fall River Quequechan Club and the Cedar Cove Club. Larger than life, always willing to help others, Jerry will be missed.

Funeral Friday Aug. 8, 2008 at 8:00 AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT BIRCHCREST, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Visiting hours Thurs. 3-7 PM.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Joseph Case High School Scholarship Trust Fund, Inc., P.O. Box 33, Swansea, MA 02777. Burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery Fall River. www.waring-sullivan.com
